Customers to Take the Stage at Mark Logic User Conference
SAN MATEO, CA — April 2, 2007 — Mark Logic® Corporation, provider of the industry’s leading XML content platform, today announced that several marquee customers will be presenting at the company’s third annual user conference to be held May 15-17, 2007, in San Francisco.
In addition to the strong technology content found in previous years, the 2007 conference will include an applications track. Customers who are experts in content integration and repurposing, custom publishing, and information discovery and delivery will share their real-world applications. Sample presentations include:
- Congressional Quarterly, speaking about personalized customer alerts. MarkLogic is the basis of Legislative Impact, part of CQ’s Legislative Tracking Service. CQ enables subscribers to see how pending or passed legislation will impact existing laws. By monitoring hearings and bills and pushing real-time notification on breaking news, CQ helps users keep close tabs on the information that is most valuable to them.
- McGraw-Hill, discussing their digital asset library. Leveraging technology to improve revenue and profit is a crucial initiative for McGraw-Hill. As part of this strategy, McGraw-Hill has developed a digital asset library providing a suite of content services that help different product groups leverage existing assets to facilitate product development.
- IEEE, speaking on content interaction. IEEE has established an R&D program to study how users apply innovative Web 2.0 methods for searching and interacting with content. IEEE has created a project to use MarkLogic Server to deconstruct and reform content in ways that enable users to work most efficiently.
- Edmunds.com, presenting on digital asset management. The Edmunds multimedia imagery management system controls all Edmunds multimedia assets, including images and movies. The application allows users to load, categorize, and associate metadata with all digital assets, and also enables users to search, publish, and syndicate assets to customers and partners.
- Elsevier, discussing the PathCONSULT application. PathCONSULT provides online diagnostic clinical decision support to healthcare professionals at the point of work. It features a powerful differential diagnosis tool to compare images and clinical information to help pathologists accurately diagnose illness in the shortest time possible.
- Datamonitor, presenting an XML content management solution. Using MarkLogic Server, Datamonitor has developed a suite of tools and content services that speed the creation, management, and delivery of its information products.
As in past years, the conference will also include an extensive technology track which will provide in-depth coverage of MarkLogic Server and related technologies.
“Adding customer application presentations to the conference provides a valuable perspective that will complement the technology sessions and provide a well-rounded agenda for attendees,” said Andy Grygiel, vice president of marketing and market development at Mark Logic Corporation. “We would also like to thank our partners Flatirons Solutions, Data Conversion Laboratory, and Really Strategies for sponsoring this year’s conference.”
