Accelerating information creation, retrieval, and delivery with Microsoft Office and Mark Logic

For the past twenty years, information workers have employed Microsoft Office to craft and share their most valuable asset: knowledge. The knowledge of the enterprise resides in many documents, but is usually found at a more granular level, for example in abstracts, footnotes, summaries, slides, tables, and figures. However, the document-centric infrastructure of the systems developed over the past twenty years has made it difficult to access the valuable knowledge locked in these documents.

This paper will show how Dynamic Enterprise Publishing, based on Microsoft Office and MarkLogic Server opens the door to a new class of enterprise solutions that deliver efficiency, accuracy, and usability to the desktops of the information worker.
